Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Ananda Chandra College's admission and online fee payment portals, and apply to every applicant, student and guardian who submits an application or makes a payment through our website.

01 Acceptance of terms

By submitting an application, registering for a course, or making a payment through this website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund / Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with the application or payment.

02 Eligibility & conduct

By applying to the College you agree to abide by the provisions of the Act, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations and Rules of the College currently in force and as amended from time to time. Failure to comply may result in the College taking appropriate action against the applicant or student, including but not limited to cancellation of admission.

03 Anti-ragging undertaking

Zero tolerance. Every applicant undertakes to abide by the provisions of the UGC Regulations, 2009, on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions. Any act of ragging, in any form, on or off campus, will attract strict disciplinary and legal action.

04 Attendance requirement

Students are required to attend a minimum of 75% of classes held in each course/semester to become eligible to appear for the corresponding examination, in accordance with University and College regulations. Shortfall in attendance may lead to detention from examinations, subject to the College's condonation rules where applicable.

05 Admission decisions

The College reserves the right to change or modify the rules and regulations relating to admission to any course, at any time, and applicants agree to abide by such changes.
The College's decision on granting or rejecting admission to any course is final and binding on the applicant.
Submission of an application or payment of a fee does not, by itself, guarantee a seat.

06 Communication & SMS consent

By providing your mobile number and email address on the portal, you consent to receive system-generated SMS, email and other electronic notifications from the College relating to your application, admission, fees, examinations and other academic matters.

07 Limitation of liability

The College will not be responsible for any damage, loss or inconvenience suffered by a user arising from the use of, or inability to use, the services on this website, including due to technical failures, third-party payment gateway issues, or incorrect information entered by the applicant.

08 Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the use of this website or the admission process shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, India.

09 Changes to these terms

The College may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time by updating this page. Continued use of the website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Applicants are encouraged to review this page periodically.
