Introduction
Apropos of UGC guidelines, Ananda Chandra College has a functional IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) since 01.01.2014, committed to supporting, mentoring, enhancing, and documenting activities related to institutional, collaborative, socially and individually productive quality initiatives undertaken by the institution.
Objectives
The objective of IQAC is firstly, to consciously and consistently improve the academic and administrative performance of the college, and secondly, to focus on quality enhancement by adopting and promoting measures that would enhance internalization as well as institutionalization of a distinct quality culture.
Functions of IQAC
- Recommending, adopting, promoting and facilitating innovative strategies in teaching- learning process.
- Ensuring the relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.
- Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
- Promoting activities like organizing workshops and seminars (institutionally or in collaboration with other institutions or related organisations or bodies or cells) aiming at quality enhancement.
- Arranging for obtaining feedback responses from all stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
- Documenting various programmes and activities leading to quality improvement.
- Preparation of AQAR as per NAAC guidelines and parameters to be submitted for institutional NAAC assessment.
